Thanks Ralphy!
Can you please also fix *jivelite*, which suffers from the same problem
on *Big Sur*?

Sorry -- my mistake.
I meant to ask about the "new format" squeezelite:
:Squeezelite-x86_64-1.8.7r1052.dmg
How does one configure the command-line arguments, such as "output
device" ?

(You will forgive me if this isn't the correct thread, for
squeezelite...)

Thanks

Re: [slim] Jivelite for Mac OSX

2017-02-18 Thread rlsx

I turns out "app" bundles for macOS can be quite simple.

After some experimentation I bundled the latest version of Ralphy's
JiveLite into a JiveLite.app.
I put the thing into a dmg : JiveLite-0.1-20170215.dmg.

Here is the download link: https://db.tt/7ta1H3dHZ2.

Ralphy & Michael, please let me know if something's wrong.

I believe Platypus will just create a "container" around a shell script
(probably like Automator?). But, as things stand, the original
executable and auxiliary files remain in /opt/jivelite/...

Thanks for your reply.
The problem here is that Jivelite is running on a tucked-away
"semi-headless" system (no kbd, no mouse). El Capitan doesn't remember
the position of the Jivelite window, no matter what. The window opens
with offset about 1/3 screen-width to the left.

May I suggest you implement this in a future release?
Another suggestion: Is there much work involved in releasing Jivelite as
a standard macOs app that only needs to be copied to the Applications
folder (like Squeezeplay)?

Tanks Ralphy for your continuing work!

One frustrating behavior in Jivelite OSX: I am running on a MacMini,
dsiplaying 1920x1080 on a TV screen.
IS THERE A WAY TO HAVE JIVELITE START CENTERED ON THE SCREEN?
(PREFERABLY FULL SCREEN.)
As things stand I have to manipulate the Jivelite window with a macro
utilty, with haphazard results ...

I would be very much interested in what you find out. I am redoing an HD
Skin for 1920x1080, and wanted to try to do what you're aiming at, but
one has only one life ... Thanks!

Thanks for the work!

Any change to get "Arabic" in the next iteration?

Strangely my SB3 displays them without problems...

One minor question (which shows the extent of my ignorance in this
matter): How does one, automatically or semi-automatically, make use of
the data, say, in AMG, without copying it by hand? As far as I know, AMG
doesn't allow query-type access to its data.

The Harmony 885 feels as snappy as the original. Of course it is a
clumsier object...
May I seize the opportunity to ask you: when should we expect to learn
more about your work on tagging classical music?

I did some snooping on the reaction of the server to the unrecognized IR
commands.

The following lines should be added to the file
"Slim_Devices_Remote.ir" and then the server restarted. The direct
commands become effective.

menu_browse_album   = 76897c83
menu_browse_artist  = 7689748b
menu_browse_playlists   = 76897a85
menu_browse_music   = 7689728d

menu_search_artist  = 768954ab
menu_search_album   = 76895ca3
menu_search_song= 768952ad

Is there a position in the SB3 menu structure where the command "Browse

[slim] Harmony remote and Squeezebox

2007-09-19 Thread rlsx

This question was raised before...

Using the Logitech Harmony 880 remote.

For the Squeezebox, the following commands are assigned to buttons:
"Browse", "Browse Album", "Browse Artist", etc.

Of these commands, only "Browse" is recognized by the SB3, any
explanation?

(Btw, the SB3 is configured to recognize both native and JVC codes)
