Re: [slim] SB3 kills DAB reception
I've just connected my SB3 to a Pure DMX-60. I can confirm applying the power kills DAB reception. I'll try the cable option (if I've one long enough...) but it's not a solution for me as there's no way I can leave a perament cable trailing through 3 rooms of the house to reach the SB3 !! That was the whole point of WiFi for me... If it's the WiFi causing the problem (more than likely) then it's a bit of a problem in our digital world is it not ?? It's going to be a real turn-off (literally) if I have to keep powering the SB3 on and off when I want to use the DAB radio...not all stations are available over the internet... -- saday Stephen Day UK saday's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23083 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] SB3 kills DAB reception
Thanks CeeJay. Will do some testing if I can get the PSU far enough away but still get the SB to reach the DAB radio. There's aleady a core on the PSU cable. DAB radio has just died anyway by the looks of it...! If the PSU is a problem, why don't you ship linear PSU's ? (Not read about them as yet). -- saday Stephen Day UK saday's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23083 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Re: HTTP message appearing in browser
It seems to be my ZoneAlarm firewall. If I stop it, all is fine, re-start it and the HTTP messages shortly re-appear. Anyone else using this firewall ? What settings could I alter ? I've tried altering the privacy levels but it makes no difference. [slim] Re: HTTP message appearing in browser
I cleared the cache as suggested and makes no difference. I seem to get 2 messages, not that I think it will help.. 140 HTTP/1.0 200 OK Date: Fri, 01 Dec 2006 20:47:25 and 141 HTTP/1.0 200 OK Date: Fri, 01 Dec 2006 20:47:25 If I try a nightly build, how do I install it ? It seems to be just a bunch of files and no install app. Do I just copy them into the server directory and restart SS ? -- saday Stephen Day UK saday's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30212 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] HTTP message appearing in browser
I'm getting this HTTP message (140 HTTP/1.0 OK DATA etc etc) appearing in the right hand side of the browser (default skin). If I press F5 it goes away until the browser refreshes and then it reappears. It seems to appear at the top so forcing the Squeezebox text down and bit, and also between the now playing text and the current playlist text. I'm using Firefox 2.0 on XP and interestingly enough, it seems fine in IE6.0. SlimSever 6.5.0 if it helps. Is there a Firefox setting I can change or is there something else wrong ? [slim] Re: SlimServer Stops
Hi Same again - I upgraded to 6.2.2 the other day, SB3 then upgraded firmware to 48, tried to play something - SB3 tried to connect and then shut off. Checked SlimServer, it was not running, so started it. Tried to play something, same thing again. Restarted SS and tried to play via the web interface, same thing. SS would stay running until I tried to play something, which simply caused SS to stop. Tried rebooting etc to no avail, so re-installed 6.2.1, which has been running for months, and all was well again - music ! SB3 is still running FW 48 so it's SS 6.2.2 which is the problem. My hardware has not changed in as many (more in fact) months and it's running Windows Server 2003 SP1. Wireless LAN (80% signal), router is a Netgear WGT624 v3 (with fast mode disabled). Seems to be a lot of posts on this subject -- saday Stephen Day UK saday's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2431 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=23462 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] CSRF Protection Problem
Hi When I click on Server Settings on the SlimServer main page I get a screen of info refering to CSRF Protection and using /cauth. Clicking the link it supplies takes me to the settings page. How do I stop it doing this ? I am acessing SlimServer (6.2.1) across my LAN from an XP Professional box. SlimServer is running on a Windows Server 2003 box. [slim] Re: Buying SB3 in the UK
I got mine from Scan.co.uk. Very helpful, although I did switch to a white one when I found they have these in stock ! Delivered the next day. They don't seem to have any SBs in stock at all at the moment. You can't really tell from the front whether it's a white or black one - biggest difference is the remotes colour. At least it stands out from the rest of the array of remotes I now have ! Wireless connectivity is poor - but that's another thread...
