OK - I got a clue from tech support. There are different playlists for each client attached to slimserver. Pick your connection in the upper right of the SS screen. [slim] switching from SqueezeNetwork to SS
I am learning that I need to have my SB play a SqueexeNetwork playlist in order for the alarm to work when my computer goes to sleep. Most of the time I play music from my computer.. Do I have to manually switch to SN each night? Is there a way to have the SB automatically switch to SN so the alarm is guaranteed to go off in the morning? Got my SB yesterday! -on the NPR question: Listening to WHYY (my local news station) right now :D -- if an NPR station is not on shoutcast, is there a way to play it on the SB? (looking for WXPN philadelphia) ok - so an alarm question: My alarm didn't go off this morning, which was fine, because I was up anyway. I tested a couple of things: SB State: Displaying clock (off?) Alarm: works fine SB State: Displaying dimmed main menu, not playing a track. Alarm: works fine SB State: Totally dark (as it was this morning when the alarm didn't go off.) -- what is the SB doing in this state? I am having the same problem, but with ITunes: I opened the following stream: me.no-ip.info:9000/stream.mp3 Itunes says Welcome to SlimServer in the track bar, and I'm now 7 minutes into playing the stream. No audio though. also tried that with the IP address instead of the no-ip dynamic DNS mapping. Still no luck.
