Bought the app yesterday and I must say it's the best :-)
One remark, please design a nice, smooth icon :-D

Re: [slim] iPeng Application 1.0 now on the App Store

2009-03-26 Thread saturn

Hi, just a short question. The internet radio function is not longer
working in ipeng.

When I hit the internet radio button it's loading for a short while and
after that I get the error message Cannot connect to server. Please
check server availability or see help for server setup information.

Yesterday the internet radio was working fine, shoutcast, locals, you
name it but now I got that error. Restarted squeezecenter a couple of
times but no luck.

ipeng does connect to my squeezecenter as I can see the name of my
squeezebox in de lower left corner. Browsing my music dir is no
problem, playing music works fine. Any idea 'bout this one?

My guess would be either your server doesn't have an internet connection
or your SqueezeNetwork account is not set correctly in SC.

Thnx, it was the SqueezeNetwork password, I reset it and forgot to
change it in SqueezeCenter :-)

[slim] Problem: Can't open file from

2006-03-05 Thread saturn

Hi,

I have the SB3 for about 4 weeks and I like it a lot! But there is one
minor thing when playing music from my mp3 library.

For example: in a directory it will play only the first 2 or 3 songs.
But when I skip to the next track the SB3 gives this error message:
Problem: Can't open file from.

When using Slimserver the problem is still there.

This problem isn't occuring at a specific track but in the whole mp3
library. The music is ok because I can play it on the computer with
winamp. Is there anyone with this sort like error?

Thnx for your answer. I do not use iTunes. I've just specified in
slimserver where it can find my mp3 files.

The files are free of DRM so that should not be the problem.

Is there any chance you moved the files?

The message means it can't find (or open) the file where it expects the
 file to be.

Another way this can happen is if you created a playlist and then
either moved the playlist to another directory or else moved some of
 the files in the playlist.

If none of the above, check the file attributes to see if they've been
marked system or hidden or something.

Failing all of that, we'll need more information about your setup
before we can start to be of help.

We'll need to know what computer, what operating system, what version
of slimserver, where your music library is located, and then we can
 start.

I said earlier the error message is 'Problem: Can't open file from' but
it is actualy 'Problem: Can't open file *for:*'

I do not use playlists but choose the mp3 file on the SB3 I want to
listen to.

File attributes are correct.

Computer specs:
Amd Athlon XP 2800
1024 MB Ram
OS: WinXP SP2
SlimServer Version: 6.2.1 - 5194 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

All the mp3 files are stored on a external harddisk connected through
usb.

Yes I did that more than once.
