About a year ago, I bought a Buffalo LinkTheater networked DVD play. It has it's own quirks (i.e., not all formats are recognized), but overall I'm pleased with it. The video files are stored on a Buffalo TeraStation NAS, but I don't use the NAS' media server. Instead, I installed wizd on a linux server (same machine where the slimserver runs) and it does a good job of serving up video. The house network is fully wired, so I don't have bandwidth problems (GigE between NAS and server, 100M between server and LinkTheater). The slimdevices and the LinkTheater are a nice combination and using the Harmony remote alleviates the "remote clutter". --Buzz -- scbuzz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ scbuzz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=15016 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=42166 _______________________________________________ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
