However, these songs in Apple Lossless have been in my library for years. I didnt have the skipping issue till about a year ago after moving. Yes I remember that. Thanks again to all that tried to help me with this issue. Seems finally resolved. I do have hard tim getting my arms around why the native file handling was a problem. I thought the LMS just streamed basic file data to my Touch and Touch forwarded data to my DAC. I rebooted everything. Song now plays. Fingers crossed as Ive been here before. Only time will tell. I ordered a co-ax hat for second RPi I have to use as player. In Advanced/Server Settings I unchecked prefer native format (decoding on player) whenever possible. [slim] Need help reading LMS server Log
I can't open the zip server file without purchasing WinZip. I tried extracting which had worked previously but only get one line of text. I'm looking for why the last song played won't play for more than 32 seconds. I played it twice to hopefully generate an error log to help identify problem. This happens with multiple songs and once the song starts this crap it will do it every time I play it. RPi LMS won�t log into Spotty/Spotify
Recurring problem. Running LMS in RPi attached to WIFi CAT 6. Streaming to SB Touch wirelessly. When I pull up Spotty app via iPeng it gives me Failed to get access token check advanced settings via web interface. I do that making and even try deleting the account info and reloading. Still wonÂt get token. Now if I switch Touch to LMS on my laptop, it connects to Spotify no problem. I just unplugged Touch thinking maybe its some kind of cache issue. Plugged back in - one track stopped at 37sec then reset and played all the way through. Playing another problem track - no problem. Not expecting resolution because this has happened several times now. I have not been using Pi as player. I just so happen to have an extra Pi that I intended as player. Headphone output for test is capital idea. I would think the WiFi in Touch is pretty dated. [slim] Digital out for RPi player
Id like to add quality digital out to a RPi 4B to use as music streamer for my stereo. LMS running on RPi 4B with Ethernet connection to router. Id like to mimic a SB player with digital out to my MH tube DAC. Receiving WiFi stream of ALAC files. So Im thinking a SPDIF (spelling?) board with maybe high quality WiFi to boot. After cooling off period I was able to find a cable outlet closer to my SB. Moved router and it appears to have fixed my issues 👌 And I have moved the Pi with it and it is working without hiccup 🤞 Is there a way I can copy my iTunes playlists to files the Pi server can read? Thank you for taking time to do that. I had thought that maybe I need to reposition SB Touch. So after turning it off, reconnecting - all those tracks played perfect. Via iPeng I moved to Spotty and played couple of songs. Went back to play those tracks again and every one of them stopped ~ 30 seconds. Seems like when I try something new everything is fine (most times). I realize you guys may be frustrated with me not following suggestions like the flash drive and posting server logs. Sorry I just want to be able to play my ALAC library without problems. I can report that upon moving my library to a laptop with large HDD then loading latest version of LMS, I experienced the same ~30sec issues with the exact same tracks the Pi with latest software was giving me. Since I really did want to go back to having my library managed by iTunes, I decided to try loading a previous version of LMS on the laptop to see if it makes any difference. Viola!!! No stopping/skipping 😁 The Pi will be relegated to a player for another room and Im going back to laptop server via iTunes management. While I havent checked all the diagnostic boxes for sure, it does appear that new versions of LMS and PiCorePlayer have issues with certain ALAC files.
