No, FLAC Streaming is enabled. Thanks.

I don't have that one, but I have UPnP/DLNA Media Interface (v1.0). Is
that the one?

Thanks. The LMS is on my mac mini. Just for my future knowledge, where
do I go to in the LMS settings to turn off upnp? I can't seem to find
it.

I spoke too soon. It's back to the constant rebuffering on Spotify now.
I think it must have to so with their servers being overloaded at
certain times of the day/night. Although if that were true, I would
expect a lot more people on here to also be affected by this problem.

Anyone else have any ideas I could try?

This seems to have solved the problem for me too, although I don't see
how it should have since I have an SB3 and a Boom which are always
synced, and it should have already been using proxied streaming because
of that. Thanks for the suggestion.

No, just one user and using it on the SB only.

[slim] Constant Rebuffing using Spotify on LMS

2016-03-08 Thread stovis

When I try to use Spotify on LMS, I get constant rebuffering. It plays a
little of the song, then maybe a little more, then it skips to the next
track, and repeats the process. It is making Spotify unusable. I can
play Pandora and Slacker no problem on LMS. Is this a Spotify server
problem? Does anyone else have this problem?

[slim] Rhapsody not scrobbling

2011-04-19 Thread stovis

Rhapsody is not scrobbling. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything,
and last.fm and Slacker and others are scrobbling fine, but Rhapsody
does not scrobble when I listen through the Squeezebox Server or
through mysqueezebox.com

Is anyone else having the same problem?

Re: [slim] What Is Your Favorite Music Service?

2011-03-12 Thread stovis

Rhapsody is great. I listen to Slacker and Pandora and Last.FM too. They
are good for random music and discovering new stuff. Then when I hear
something I like, I can listen to the whole album, and other albums by
that artist, on Rhapsody. Rhapsody also has what they call channels
that work like Pandora and Slacker. Those are good too. I also love
being able to make playlists with Rhapsody.

Rhapsody is like having a huge-mongous jukebox that I can listen to
with my Squeezebox. Even better - I can listen to all my downloaded
favorites on the go with my mp3 player. It's a mobile jukebox. And if I
avoid buying just one crappy CD a month, it pays for itself. Fun
stuff...

I can't believe more people don't get Rhapsody. It's a no brainer.

Re: [slim] Best bang for buck with Music Services

2008-12-11 Thread stovis

smkelly;365381 Wrote:
Up to now, I've been using my SBC, SBR, and SB2 with Internet Radio
stations such as the Sky.FM/DI.FM status streamed through SC. However,
I've decided to explore the various music services available to me
 through SC/SN.

Yesterday afternoon, I subscribed to Rhapsody to try it out. I had
evaluated it a while back, but don't really remember it well. I also
have a Pandora account and have used Slacker some as well. However,
I've not been paying for any of these.

I guess my question is what people's opinions are on the best bang for
my buck in music services selection would be. They all cost around the
same ($5-15/mo), but some offer different features such as artist
recommendation and access to wider selections of music.

What combination of services are people using out there on a budget to
get the most out of their listening experience?

Rhapsody is incredible. I haven't had any problems with them. I got the
Rhapsody To Go account for $2/month more and use it with my Rhapsody
ibiza mp3 player - it's like having a Squeezebox on the go.

Like others have said, you can use Pandora and Sacker and last.fm on
the Squeezebox and add artists to Rhapsody directly from the SB menu -
cool feature. Great way to find new artists and albums. I love being
able to hear about an album from a friend and be listening to it a few
minutes later. You won't be able to listen to albums the day they are
released, but they seem to get most of them out fairly quickly - within
a month or so. Also, they don't have everything (not much Chameleons or
Midnight Oil for example) but they have about 95% of what I'm looking
for, and I am looking for mostly non-mainstream stuff. Some things will
how up later too - they didn't have any Radiohead until recently - now
they have all of them.

With a 30 day free trial, you have nothing to lose. If it saves you
from buying 1 or 2 CD's you don't like a month, it pays for itself.
Trust me, if you're a music lover, you'll love it.

I like them better too, and the sound quality seems excellent. It would
be great to be able to use it on the Squeezebox. I asked on the plugin

too many people have tried listening to slacker.com yet, so they might
not be that motivated yet. I hope someone gets motivated though.

I have been listening to some xm radio stations through the aol radio

Of course, this doesn't work when you try to plug it into the tune in

Does anyone know of a way to listen to these stations on the
