Downloaded the new release and installed but still won't run: SqueezePlay.app is damaged and cant be opened. You should move it to the Bin. M1 Mac 24" which ran the original Mac version of Squeezeplay. Any ideas? I can't get this to work as expected so some advice please. What I'm doing is opening the web UI and under Internet Radio opening Tune In URL. Paste in the URL and the station plays on the SB3 but not on Softsqueeze (any ideas?). Then I add to favourites in order to do it again from the SB3 itself but it just shows the URL, of course. Can this be edited or added to to show the real name of the station so that I can build a list of several jazz stations? Tried reading the manual but after 3 years of using the Squeezebox this is new territory for me. [slim] Duplicate Artists
I'm using the SB3 with SlimServer 6.2.2 22Feb06 version and linked to my iTunes base. When browsing by artist, I see duplications e.g. Abba twice and apparently have 195 artists instead of about 150 in reality. Have deleted and rebuilt the index in Cache. Have completely rescanned the iTunes files. Have checked and rechecked the tag files to remove additional fields e.g. composer. All was well 2 weeks ago but once again the listing is out of whack and I haven't added any more recordings. The secondary listing generally contains only 1 track from an album shown in the first instance. I am getting a little tired of all this fiddling around. Any idea what is going on here? Most of my networking problems were from using a auto 108mps setting on the Netgear router. Switch it to wireless b/g and the setting becomes reliable. Hope this is of help. All very odd. No, both IP addresses are well within range and I've tried turning off and on again. Maybe a full reset would be worth doing. As I said, the SB3 plays well but the selection process (albums / artists) occasionally jumps a bit. Really just trying to keep things tidy and as efficient as possible. I haven't allocated a reserved IP to any part of the network - just let each piece grab an address on startup. Seems to work well except for the SB3. I bet someone will be along soon with the answer ... My SB3 appears to grab two addresses on my Netgear DG634GT router. Connected over wireless g with DHCP auto allocation of addresses and appears to be working well. Wonder if there is a potential conflict or some kind of duplication? Anyone had a similar experience / cure short of fixing the address? I'm using m4a files not mp3. iTunes doesn't seem to add additional tag information - I downloaded Tag and Rename and it doesn't show multiple instances of the artist as composer, copyright etc. Seems that Slimserver fills the available spaces with repetitive artist text and then shows it on the SB3 screen regardless of settings. I don't want to use the beta software and plan to stick with 6.2.1 until the next official version is announced. May have to stay with my echoing display for a bit longer ... Done it and just in time for New Year's Eve too. You guessed correctly that I had to do a proper rescan and not just new music. When the SB3 display scrolls it shows TrackNum, Artist and Title. But I get repeats separated by ampersands e.g. 3. The Who The Who The Who - Squeezebox Was the interface designed by public service employees who like everything in triplicate? Is there a fix? I'm using version 6.2.1 of SlimServer. Not sure what you mean by tags but in iTunes, selecting Get Info shows the artist only once and not repeated by e.g. singer composer etc. However, the music player side of SlimServer shows several repeats of the artist name, separated by commas, not ampersands. Can't see any settings function on the right side - music player. Any more ideas?
