I can't seem to get the forums to load on my Android (7) phone. Using ANY browser, I get a message saying Forbidden. Occasionally, it'll say: "The site can't be reached forums.slimdevices.com refused to connect Try: Checking the connection ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED." I've tried switching from Wi-Fi to 4G. I've tried disabling all ad blockers I've tried using alternative web browsers such as Chrome, Samsung Internet (stock) and Dolphin. I get the same results regardless. Tapatalk also no longer connects. On my desktop or on my iPhone, both on the same wi-fi network, I have no issues. This seems to be happening to me - the constant scrolling down. I've found that even when I've taken out the batteries of my remote, it's still doing it so it appears to be a fault of the receiver/software rather than sticky button on the remote. Getting somewhere. It turns out the Central FM logo was getting blocked because of the firewall blocking USER-AGENT Squeezenetwork. After requesting for a server reconfig it's now working. I've come across a similar problem with another server. It's for 103.1 Central FM on RadioFeeds UK & Ireland. I think it's a problem with the server. They show OK if I host them elsewhere. It's strange, because the server happily serves for my Android pages hosted at my own domain. If anything, you'd think it'd be the other way round, i.e. refuse to serve if the referrer is from elsewhere. I don't know where to start with this one. Could it be the USER-AGENT is blocked? The following logo is supposed to load for Nevis Radio: http://www.nevisradio.co.uk/nevis-radiofeeds-600.png However, it fails to load on SqueezePlay, my Joggler, and presumably Squeezeboxes with a colour display. Oddly, it WILL load on a phone control app, such as Squeeze Ctrl. Are there requirements to the file types and/or size? I've noticed that with another station (ALL FM community radio in Manchester). It appears for a split second before a blank slate takes over. I'm not too sure why it does that.. it may have something to do with the metadata in the stream that makes it behave differently. I've just dug out my old iPod to try it on iPeng and the problem doesn't manifest itself there. So it seems to be a problem with the Squeezebox app itself. OK, I've managed a bit more testing and have found that the following entries in the list are hidden: Slot 2, Slot 13, Slot 24, Slot 36 (not 35, as you might expect if you follow the sequence). I've reordered some items to prove this and they hide and reappear when dragged in and out of those positions. So in order to show all the entries in my favorites on my Squeezebox app, I've created dummy folders named "- 2", "- 13", etc.. and positioned them accordingly in the list. Of course, an annoying side-effect of this is that the dummy folders do show on my Squeezeboxes. I thought I could at first, but in the end, no. The entries missing are along the lines of: "High-bitrate UK" (folder) "High Peak Radio" (stream) "Thames Radio" (stream) "Archived (non-working)" (folder) I can't remember the exact entry names off the top of my head but I think they do have single hyphens somewhere in their full name. I've tried renaming them to something without hyphens but they're still hidden. Perhaps I need to recreate them from scratch without hyphens? Are hyphens a known problem? Is there a way of rebuilding what's shown on the app? I've tried amending some entries and changes are reflected correctly. I just can't see these certain entries. Still no good tonight. I even tried putting my Squeezebox in a DMZ. I've also tried another WMA station (Solar Radio) and that fails to play as well. [slim] WMA streams blocked on Sky Broadband
Just had to perform a factory reset on my Sky broadband router and now I've lost access to radio streams in WMA format. The status becomes "Stopped" around a second after I hit play. Strangely, these streams can be accessed on my other (Frontier Silicon) Internet radios. Likewise, the Squeezebox can connect and playif I get it tethered to my phone on EE. So there's something about my Squeezebox that my router doesn't like. Perhaps I need to get some ports deliberately opened on my router. Anyone have any ideas? If it helps, the higher bitrate stream plays louder than the lower bitrate stream. You can probably bring up the bouncing bars to determine which is louder. Currently.. GMG radio stations play first time in SqueezeCenter. They will also play in SqueezeNetwork, but only if you hit Play again after it starts playing the message. Classic FM runs what's called a Windows Media Intellistream on their website. This stream detects your bandwidth and gives you either a 32k feed or a 128k feed. Depending on which browser you're using, the embedded player chosen by the browser may be Windows Media Player version 6.4. 6.4 doesn't support Intellistreaming, and will only give you the base bandwidth, i.e. 32k. RadioFeeds has always been available on SqueezeNetwork via the podcasts method. You should have had the instructions sent to you when you signed up.
