Re: [slim] iTunes to sell DRM-free 256 kbps AAC
It -would- be nice to see AAC decoded in the box. If this is not already a priority, the EMI/iTunes DRM decision ought to tip the scales. The Wikipedia link addresses streaming and distribution, but not -decoding-. Is a license required to distribute an AAC decoder? Phil, I have also had tracks stall just before the end of the song. I'm not transcoding either. Didn't you start a thread about this? I've seen this with 6.5.1 as well, but it's an intermittent problem, so it's hard to draw conclusions. -- windowshade windowshade's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5046 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=33277 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Only the first ARTIST from an ID3 tag containing multiple ARTIST tags is read by SlimServer. [slim] splitList: /?
Is it possible to use a forward slash to split MULTIPLE ITEMS IN TAGS? I can't seem to make it work. Do I need to escape it somehow? (WMP uses a forward slash, and I'd like to keep my tagging compatible with other apps when possible.) Actually, I'd really like to use multiple tags a la vorbis, but that's probably out of spec and thus unsupported. -- windowshade windowshade's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5046 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26450 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
[slim] Re: splitList: /?
Thanks for the reply. My first post was pretty vague and needs clarification. (The answer is not in the wiki, or in the forums as far as I can search.) I already use foobar2000 for tagging. Wherever I can, I use multiple tags: this works in FLAC and in GENRE in MP3s. However, multiple ARTIST tags in MP3S (ID3v2.4) aren't read, so I use the 'MULTIPLE ITEMS IN TAGS' feature, aka splitList. I use a semicolon to split multiple artists in ID3 tags. Recently, though, foobar switched from '\' to ';' for splitting multiple tags, which means I need a different splitList parameter... So: can I use '/' in the splitList? If so, how? -- windowshade windowshade's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5046 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=26450 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
