Installed 7.2.1 on top of 7.2.0 yesterday, and all appeared OK at first sight. However - now some of my old MP3 will no longer play. No sound - everything else seems OK. That is - they will seem to play - time on controller is moving, but there is no sound at all. The problem is the same regardless of method - Controller - artist ... play, or SqueezeCenter - Artist ... play. NOTE: when using Softsqueeze, the music plays OK, so there is nothing wrong with the files. Is this an issue with the firmware attached to 7.2.1? On this new PC I have no problems with the problematic MP3 files. I copied all my MP3's to the new machine. Conclusion: on my old normal SC PC there must be some setting (in WinXP-SP3 or SC itself) messing up things. Hi SuperQ Just re-installed 7.2.1 from scratch on my normal SC PC, still some old MP3 files witch allways used to play is no longer working. Are you trying to play the songs directly from the Music Folder view or the Album view (or similar), or are you trying to play the songs via playlists? There is an open bug about files with special characters not playing via playlists, but I think it's common to all platforms, not just Windows. http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=4578 Do the files show up in Squeezecenter Library, but just don't play when you click on them, or do they not scan at all? Anything in the server.log file when you try to play the files (follow the link from Settings/Status page)? Are you using iTunes or MusicIP integration? Hi About to un-install 7.2.1 again, just found out this version will not play some of my old MP3's I *think* the problem is related to speciel char's in the filename and/or tag data (danish æøå ÆØÅ letters).
