This would cut your wireless bandwidth requirements in half. Or is it that the PC-->router link is too slow? You could try upgrading the arials on either the PC or the router or both. I have seen some weird designs on the internet of bits of carboard lined with tin foil behind arials to make them directional and increase the link quality.
