Thanks for the answer, I was thinking about using this OyremoteCL: http://www.krautsourced.com/?page_id=88 Which is a command line program to send commands through the network to an Onkyo receiver (many models supported, in case anyone is interested). If I install the software on my server, maybe the Controller could trigger it somehow. But maybe it's easier through the infrared plugin.
