Re: [slim] Deezer Smart Radio - what's your experience?
I wonder if the deezer plugin already makes use of the flow api (http://developers.deezer.com/api/user/flow). Yes, it does. Because I heavily use flow in the morning and on weekends. But I recognize often the same order of songs. Even when pausing a song and restart flow, I get the same song B after song A like on the day before. It looks like squeezeNetwork caches the songs over days (as an enduser I just have this feeling). It shouldn't. I checked again, and the flow call is one of the few (mostly user related) calls which are supposed not to be cached on the server. For me the experience with deezer flow of the plugin is much worse than through the app and the simulations via api explorer. Ok, interesting. But it wouldn't be totally off, like you would get somebody else's mix? It still is not totally unexpected music? -- Michael ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

They are not that repetitive. For me the experience with deezer flow of the plugin is much worse than through the app and the simulations via api explorer. Could you please investigate a bit? But automatically generated playlist I have with both services. The repetory seems to be nearly the same as well (I was able to migrate all of my favorite albums from Spotify to Deezer). The only differences are that I can use Deezer on different Squeezeboxen at the same time and I can use Deezer on old and DIY Squeezeboxen. For me that makes 2 to 0 for Deezer. quadronado's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60946 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105753 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

So that's no advantage over Spotify anymore. What about listening to two different streams at the same time. I can do that with Deezer, but can I do this with Spotify? Yes, that's problematic. It does work with SB Radio & Touch, but nothing else IIRC. Are there any advantages Spotify has over Deezer that could it make worth trying it again for me? I think a lot of it boils down to taste and personal preference.
