Re: [slim] European Squeezebox Power Supply?

2010-04-10 Thread signor_rossi

Logitech Europe unfortuntely sells only Receiver, Controller and Boom
power supplies in their spare parts shop (makes sense since the SB
Classic is long discontinued). But you might always try with an
universal power supply.

OK - my Blackberry euro-prongs work perfectly on the Controller power
supply.

Just need a source for a Euro power pack for an SB Classic

Any pointers gratefully received.

Thanks for the slider idea - I have a Blackberry Euro-slider anyway,
which I can try. Didn;t realize that they were "standard"!

Don't think that Logitech in Europe sells the SB PS separately - and
for various reasons (naked commerce) the SB Classic USA PS is
marked 110v only... So any sources for a Euro SB Classic supply that
really works (ie, has the correct SB connector) will be gratefully
received.

You might be able to order a PS from Logitech, I would check there
first. If not, there are plenty of 2 & 3 amp PS on the Internet.

As for the sliding adapter, I went to Cingular (Now AT&T) to get a
spare US one after I lost one. Many of the Blackberrys come with all
the adapters so they might have one they can give you. The Squeezebox
accessory site used to sell an adapter plate kit for $9 I think. But I
have seen the adapters sold by themselves for a $1.59 in parts catalogs
like Digikey and Mousier and the like.

[slim] European Squeezebox Power Supply?

2010-04-09 Thread agbagb

I'm taking one of my SBs to France for an extended visit - anyone know a
source for a Euro-compatible SB Classic power supply? Also may take my
Controller - any source for the sliding part of the power supply that
would give me "Euro-prongs"?
