Re: [slim] Fast Forward or Rewind in ALAC files?
It is not a bug, it is an enhancement request. No work is currently scheduled for this enhancement request. -- awy awy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7480 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57076 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Fast Forward or Rewind in ALAC files?
Thanks Funkstar. Found this when I read your link: http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8620 " --- Comment #2 From James Richardson 2008-12-15 14:52:33 --- See Bug 571, Comment 32 Reopening bug to track M4A Lossless specific issue with Song Scanner Alan, can you please comment and target the bug appropriately. --- Comment #3 From Alan Young 2008-12-16 10:37:14 --- No specific plans to look at this in the near future. " So should I interpret this as this IS a bug and WILL be fixed, or not? -- terjehaa terjehaa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17451 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57076 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I don't know if ALAC transcoding can be configured and just hasn't or not. There have been quite a few bugs that relate to this issue, and they all link to each other. Some are closed, some marked as duplicate, so it's hard to work out what the current thinking on this is, but I believe that linked bug is the best source of information. -- funkstar funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57076 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Fast Forward or Rewind in ALAC files?
My bet is that until SC can stream ALAC, fast-forwarding or rewinding ALAC files ain't gonna happen. Unfortunately, I don't think there are plans for the SB's to be able to stream ALAC as a native format so... -- newy newy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=18530 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57076 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
