Re: [slim] Frustrated by softsqueeze
My personal suggestion (and what I do): Run Squeezeslave (headless) instead. Then simply control it from your web browser. Unobtrusive, low CPU usage, 0 CPU usage when idle, essentially transparent. -- MelonMonkey Bruno *'Twisted Melon - External Wired IR Blasters' (http://twistedmelon.com/shop/?show=bug1)* MelonMonkey's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74103 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Frustrated by softsqueeze
Softsqueeze usually discovers the SBS - if on the same PC it will use localhost so perhaps your security s/w has removed localhost definition. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74103 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

It says it cannot see the server, I don't know what to put in the server id field. -- fredpb Fred Greenwood, SC Duet Squeezebox Radio Grace IR-1000B Internet Radio System: Acurus RL11 preamp Acurus A100 power amp Rega Planet CD Player Rotel Phono Stage MMF500 Turntable w/ Goldring Cartridge Straightwire Cables Headroom Maxed Out Home Headphone amp Sennheiser HD600 headphones Vandersteen 2 C Signature speakers fredpb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31561 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74103 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] Frustrated by softsqueeze
More info will always help. Assuming you are using v3.9b1 and SBS 7.4.x Do you have a real player and so verify that SBS is running OK ? Normally Softsqueeze is started from the WebUI of your SBS. Softsqueeze detects a working SBS from broadcats info. So if SOftsqueeze cannot see your SBS and Softsqueeze is running on same system as SBS - I think SBS install is broken. If Softsqueeze is running on a different system to your SBS - check your firewalls on both systems. -- bpa bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=74103 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
