Since I got things to work last night by explicitly telling SC to allow my IP from the hospital, I figured that was what was behind the errors, though I see now that that doesn't really make sense. I just rechecked the error log and the same thing is showing up though the streaming to Winamp is now working. Glad you were able to pull the log. I have not encountered your errors before. After trying the usual re-boot and if the issue persists, I would try and call support. Yeah, that's the confusing part. My Squeezebox at home works fine. I guess support is my next stop. Do you see more than this error in the log, hopefully even a stack trace? Some routine is trying to get the player's displayed lines - which of course don't exist in a streaming player. [slim] Help? Winamp not connecting/recognized
Hi, all. Hoping someone can help. I've been connecting to my machine at home running SC 7 and streaming to Winamp at work for weeks without any trouble. Starting two days ago, though, I've been having a problem. Winamp will still connect, and I can see the SC web interface. However, the Winamp client doesn't show up in the list of players. If I clear the browser cache, the Winamp client will sometimes show up briefly (for about a second) and then disappear. Would appreciate any tips, as I am on a 27 hour shift in the neonatal ICU today and would love to have my music for its stress-relieving properties! Can you get to your server.log on the SqueezeCenter server? Check for error messages. Thanks for your reply. I doubt that I can get to my server.log from the hospital. The server is running RealVNC, but I think the firewall here prevents me from connecting to it. The OS is XP Pro.
