slimserver transcodes AAC to FLAC, Wav, AIFF, or MP3 depending on the 
player and the bandwidth limit settings.
If you run on windows or osx, slimserver comes with the needed codecs.  
for Linux, you will need faad (search the wiki for details)


AAC purchased from iTunes Music Store will not play without using an 
outside method to process the files and remove DRM
