On 2/1/06 at 02:09 -0800, octavian wrote Will Slimserver see iTunes on my main G5 disk as well as my music folder full of FLAC Files on an external hard drive? Will it search in both places? It might be a good idea if SlimServer gave an actual option for more than one music folder, but it doesn't. What one can do is specify a music folder and inside that folder put a symbolic link to another folder. Note that this must be a symbolic link and not an alias. You can create such a link with the terminal. If you don't like using Terminal, search for "symbolic link" on VersionTracker and you will find one or two programs for doing it; there's at least one free program that just does this, and one shareware multi-function program including this option. When I select the use iTunes preference does it mean that Slimserver uses iTunes exclusively? I suspect so, but I don't use iTuines myself, so I am not sure. -- Daniel Cohen ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Someone willing, could simply strip out the unwanted tracks section and post a 'iTunes-playlist' plugin. All users would have to do is enable this one instead of the standard that is included with slimserver. -kdf ___ Discuss mailing list Discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
