Yes, depending on the bitrate of your connection (?56k in theory, a lot 
less depending on the quality of your phone line.

As long as the bitrate of the station is less than your available 
bandwidth you should be fine. I think all the bbc stations are less than 
56k, and most other staions have different speed options.

I am considering moving to the country where broadband is unavailable.
Right now I have DSL but no dial up connection.
