Yes, you can make softsqeeze emulate an SB3 which the controller can

internet connection sharing on windows which would give similar
 results.

Would the controller work in ad-hoc mode with a Windows laptop as weel?
I'm thinking of taking a controller ans laptop along on my holiday this
summer. That could be a nice and simple setup provided the hifi in the
house has a line-in.

[slim] Quick and easy demo setup needed

2008-05-12 Thread timmorris

I'm off to see a pain specialist on Wednesday and he's really interested
in looking at the Duet. His clinic is really busy though and I'll
literally have 5 minutes to show him a demo.

Is there a way of setting up the server software and softsqueeze on my
notebook and setup a peer-peer network between the notebook and the
controller? I basically want softsqueeze to emulate the receiver and
due to time and space constraints I'm not going to be able to take an
access point with me.

I'll copy a couple of dozen albums off my server onto the notebook's HD
- any ideas gratefully received - he'll be looking to setup 4 zones in
total probably each with a dedicated controller - I just want to give
him 5 minutes of hands on with the controller.
