Re: [slim] Re: 6.5.0 - No Album Art in random mix
Are you able to get a gallery view of artwork in the Browse Albums page? Use the icon on the top right of the frame to switch from list to gallery view. If that doesn't work, initiate a clear library and rescan from server settings. In the now playing area, only some skins will show artwork and this doesn't matter if it is random mix or otherwise. -kdf ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I installed SS 6.5 last night (using softsqueeze on a windows XP system). I was disappointed to find that in a random mixed playlist, the currently playing album art doesn't display. KDF's post implies that in 6.51 album art will display with a random playlist. I eagerly downloaded and installed 6.51 but alas, I can only see album art when browsing by album or lookng at album detailsam I missing some setting or am I looking to do something that really can't be done??? I appreciate the help guys, but all this talk of ajax and "if ($('thisDiv')) { doSomethingtoIt($('thisDiv')); }" is going right over my head. I can provide a little more info if it will help: I did clear the browser cache each time I tried a different skin. I tried every skin, and the results were the same: skins which were designed to display album art didn't during a random mix. While playing an album the art is displayed OK. I did discover one thing: while using the default skin, album art is not displayed during a random mix if you just creat the mix and then select play. However if you select each song individually the artwork appears. I am using Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.7 in WindowsXP 64bit. I hope that helps some. I do a lot of if ($('thisDiv')) { doSomethingtoIt($('thisDiv')); } now in my javascript, which gets me around javascript pooping out. But your point is a good one. You don't mention what you've done, so I'll start with the obvious. (1) Do a complete clear and rescan of your music library. (2) Force your browser to clear its cache. (3) If that doesn't work, try trashing the database cache file to make sure it starts fresh. I haven't had to do this yet on 6.5, so I'm not sure what the name of the relvant file is in 6.5. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=28202 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
