Thanks, I am running SlimServer on a QNAP device, so will have to wait
for an official release to be ported over.

There is no more development work going on with 6.3.x. That pretty much
says it all. 6.5 recently had a major rework of the various artists
issues and should solve the problems users are seeing with 6.3.x. If
you wish to give it a try, it is available as a nightly download, and
will soon be available as a "stable pre-release" build as well. You
can also wait for release and hope that it fixes the issue for your
specific case.

Think of having a TV with 700 channels that you have to wade through
every time to find the 10 you want to watch, not really just a cosmetic
issue. Also there seems to be a large number of people who no matter
how they tag there wma files still cant sort it out.

Given that it's a cosmetic issue with a known workaround (tagging your
tracks properly with the compilation tag), I highly doubt that any work
on that issue would be targeted at a point release on the 6.3 branch.

Does anyone know if there is a pending release of 6.3.x or is the move
to 6.5 now ?

There haven't been significant updates to the 6.3.x branch since the
release of 6.3.1. Developpment definitely goes towards 6.5 (needed for the
Transporter launch in September).

compilation listing issue that is part of 6.3.1

Thanks,

After upgrading from 6.2.2 to 6.3.x there are problems with the web
interface for these features.

When I try to remove a line by deleting the URL it will no longer
remove the line, also when doing various updates on the the plugin
page, extra blank lines get added.

This started showing up with 6.3.0 and are still present with 6.3.1.
First I though it could be because I used the Opera browser, but I just
tested with IE as well.

Another issue is that sometimes SS seems to loose track of the status
of the SB. It quite often display the playing screensaver and the pause
screensaver on top of eachother. Also in both 6.3.0 and 6.3.1.

Actually, it is. I e-mailed the maintainer last night, and he said he
plans to update it next week. In the meantime, there's been a patch
submitted if you'd like to do it yourself:

No. For Real streams use the AlienBBC plugin.

This new Shoutcast plugin is really great. Thanks very much! I'm
getting *tons* of stations, genres, etc. listed now. I am going to
have to go through them all again now to see what I have been missing
:-).
