[slim] Re: Confusion: No FLAC or Ogg, just MP3 ??
Since you're on Linux, do the affected files have the same permissions as the MP3s? SlimServer definitely should scan and play FLAC and Ogg. -- Mark Lanctot Mark Lanctot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2071 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30597 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

I get the same thing, sort of. It doesnt appear to find the flac files but on closer inspection it does find them but cant read the tags. AS a result it classes the songs under no artist. Check and see if yours is doing the same. skooby -- skooby skooby's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8949 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30597 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

This is the subject of a long standing enhancement request, I don't think there is any sign of movement on it though. It does make me wonder though - are the FLACs and MP3s in the same directory for a given album, with the same tags? If so I can imagine slimserver getting confused. you might try setting up a small test library with a subset of the whole, and experimenting with separating the MP3s from the FLACs.
