This is really annoying. - the wrong artwork cover.jpg showing under Browse Artwork, when the album folder that plays indeed has the correct cover art. - numerous albums being listed twice under Browse Artwork with half of the tracks showing up in each - cover.jpg not showing up under Browse Artwork when there is indeed a cover.jpg within the folder. This happens so much that I find it hard to believe that it is only me that has issues with displaying album cover artwork (cover.jpg) with SimServer. If you're seeing multiple albums listed for one, then you probably have some problems with your tags. My guess is that when that happens the cover.jpg file may only get associated with one of the albums. SlimServer is very exacting in it's treatment of tag data. It can be frustrating at first, but after you've straightened out your tags, it behaves quite predictably. If you have a large collection you can count on spending some time correcting everything so that you don't have duplicate albums and artists. Make sure album titles are spelled exactly the same in all tracks for the album. Make sure artist names are identical on all tracks across all albums for the artist. That's a start. As I mentioned previously - when you're in Browse Artwork SlimServer looks to see what it has for artwork in the database. When you're playing the album, or you're at the album track listing level, it looks for the actual file in the folder of the track or album. That's the reason you're seeing the correct cover in one place but not the other. How are you organizing your folders? Do you have more than one album in a folder (or, similarly, are album tracks located in more than one folder)? Are all of your tracks tagged or are you relying on the guess tags feature to have SlimServer figure out metadata for some tracks? If you have albums split into more than one folder, I'm not even sure how the albumart would work. Here are the answers: - 1 album per folder - 1 cover.jpg per album per folder - all tracks are tagged per album per folder. Not relying on Guess Tags. - albums are not split in multiple folders. When browsing by Artwork, it only shows the place holder for this particular album: Alain Vinet - Mouvement - Day By Day http://jollyrogersmotorcycleclub.com/images/web/NoArtwork.JPG 2. However, if you double click on the place holder it will open the album and show the cover.jpg http://jollyrogersmotorcycleclub.com/images/web/DoubleClickOnArtwork.JPG 3. If you browse by Album and open the particular album you do see the cover.jpg http://jollyrogersmotorcycleclub.com/images/web/BrowseAlbum.JPG 4. Slimserver is sort of odd and annoying sometimes: If it finds an album with no artwork, then it will, until you do a full wipe/scan, remember that it has no artwork for Browse by Artwork. I try to get artwork in place before Slimserver finds the new music if it finds it via Browse Music Folder or Rescan-look-for-new, and it is genuinely new, then it will remember the artwork for Browse Artwork. I don't know why it does this, but it is sort of annoying. Hi snarlydwarf I have done a rescan, dump the library and re-scan and also deleted the .sql file and did a rescan. It still does not show up. Could it be you have one track out of place? (Ie, all tracks should be in the same directory.)
