That's the way it works with SlimServer as well. My guess is that the
server is unable to read from the network share.
Is there any music in the current music folder? If not, try setting
the network folder as your music folder. If SlimServer can read it,
then you should be good to go. My guess is that it can't and you'll
get an error message when trying to designate the folder.
If SlimServer is running as a Windows service, then you'll probably
need to use a UNC path to designate the network folder, whether as a
shortcut or when directly designated as the Music Folder.
A UNC path looks like:
\\Server_Name\Share_Name
or
\\Server_Name\Share_Name\Directory
