Sorry I don't have a daily build for you, but if you are desperate for a working 6.5 pre-instability, you can always use subversion to checkout the exact version that you want. Very basic instructions here- http://www.slimdevices.com/dev_resources.html#subversion You will want to checkout the 5/23ish revision, rather than top of tree, and a quick perusal of the developers forum tells me that revision is 7504. I have the 5/19 download but when I try that one the server starts and then stops within seconds. Can't get it going - Do I need to remove anything? Anyone with the 5/23 download? hi Peter- let me see what I can answer for you...some questions will be easier than others. 1) I run 6.5 and have never had a problem with the remote--did you install the latest nightly? I've been holding on updating my slimserver while they work out the kinks of some changes to the back-end database support. Not sure why that would affect your IR remote, but consider loading the 21 May nightly of 6.5 and see if you still have the problem (sorry, don't have the link to it, but maybe someone else will supply that) 2) There is no plugin for viewing album art, but you should check your server settings for how you have slimserver setup to read album art. Also, there is an open issue/bug in slimserver where new album art added after the initial scan will not show up. In order to pull in the new cover art you have to wipe the DB clean and rescan the whole thing. A major pain that I hope our slimdevices development team will fix in short order. 3) This one is easy-- from the browser menu, select View-Show Toolbar, and unselect Fullscreen. That will do a lot to enhance your browsing experience, esp. since all of my css is depending on you being in fullscreen mode with no toolbar. 4) I'm pretty sure after you take care of 3) you won't see 4) as an issue either. I installed 6.5 on 5-31 I will see if it works this evening. I will incorporate all of your advice this evening as I have not been able to log onto the wireless network here. I am not sure I understand the Album art issue, so I will tinker around and maybe post another question. Another bug my wife just emailed me with. When she selects XM radio to play in the internet radio button, nothing happens! No clue on the XM thing...don't use it. I expect you will get a lot better behavior of plugins and extensions like XM if you back off to Slimserver 6.2. 6.5 works well for me but is still pre-release, so the t's aren't quite crossed and the i's aren't quite dotted. Of course, there is no Nokia770 skin in 6.2, so it's a tradeoff. And if you do back off to 6.2 or 6.3.0 (which is pre-release but a lot more stable than 6.5), you may find the handheld skin is good enough for use on the 770. Please be aware that the 6.5b branch has just landed some massive changes and is currently in an unstable state. IIRC, the latest build that will be usable for most of us is the May 23rd nightly.
