I don't really want to mess aroud with my working SB unless absolutley necessary. It looks like the card is caput, is there any possibility to get a replacement card? Have you looked inside at the wireless module (IIRC its a distinct board that is plugged in - you could even swap it with your "good" unit to see if the fault follows the board. One fall back, instead of buying a new unit, might be to get a cheap Wireless repeater if you can find one... Not sounding too good then. Have you tried a hard reset of the box? Press and hold 1 while cycling power will reprogam the xilinx in the box. Less drastic than... Press and hold add while cycling power will do a factory reset of the box. (this will erase all current settings) If these don't work and you are feeling brave you could open up the box and see if the wireless module has become loose inside. My SB3's mac address got changed for some unknown reason (power surge, probably), and I spent much of a day trying to figure out why it would not connect to the network. I finally discovered the mac address did not match the address on the bottom of the machine. I had a similar issue, perfectly working 2 box wireless setup suddenly started having networking issues. Turned out to be network interference, perhaps my neighbour got a wireless router or a new phone in the same spectrum. Anyway, I changed the channel of the router and things went back to normal and have worked since. Log on to your router, there should be an option somewhere to pick a channel. [slim] Re: SB2 Wireless stops working
Some times the MAC address can change. If you use MAC filtering on your wireless network you better check this first. hold the left button for a while - go to current settings - MAC address. Check if it's the same as writen on the bottom of your squeezebox. I hope this helps... -- Amauta Amauta's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2669 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=31610 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
