Perhaps the SB can be reconfigured to look for other codes. I have a
faint memory of reading about something like that..


It's fully configurable.

You'll need to stop using the stock remote for one of them, and use a 
different one that sends different codes, of course. Then you'll have to 
write a new .ir file on your server listing the codes for the new 
remote. In Player Settings:Remote in your server (in 6.3, it may have 
moved in 6.5), you can select which .ir files each player responds to.

I think it's possible to tell either SB or Transporter to respond to (I
think) JVC IR commands. However, to use that, you have to have a remote
that sends JVC IR commands.
