the other 15000-something songs on the new drive. any ideas? Please upload scanner.log after you've enabled debugging for scan.* options (Settings/Advanced/Logging). Then run a scan. SC version 7.0 sorry, I'm an idiot with this. I haven't had any problems at all until I just got back from vacation. when I go to settings/adv/logging every drop menu just says error except for server.memory which is off. This is one way to do it. Creat a folder on your main drive (you could use the existing My Music folder in My Documents if you liked) and then place shortcuts in it to all the plcaes you music is held. If you have music on two other drives, put in two shortcuts dirctly to those drives. You can create shortcuts by right clicking in your new folder and selecting New/Shortcut from the resulting drop down menu. Point SlimCentre at your new folder (or My Music Folder, if you used the one that already existef)) Another way to do it is to create a shortcut directly in your first music drive to the second music drive. Doing it other ways makes it too easy to misplace shortcuts or to create circular references. You can create shortcuts by right clicking in your new folder and selecting New/Shortcut from the resulting drop down menu. When you drop the object you'll get a context menu. On a Mac which I use, the nearest equivalent to a Windows shortcut is an alias, which is easy to create. However, SS does not use aliases, SC 7.0.1 now has support for aliases. Please give it a try. I don't use Windows, so someone else may have to advise you, but I think it is easy to create a shortcut and then to put it into any convenient folder.
