Re: [slim] Scanner error
Well it turned out that all I had to do is set the logging level for the MusicIP import to debug (advanced tab, select logging)and review the scanner log. There was one album which was causing the failure. The import was the last file before the error occurred in the log. By removing that album, the entire scan completed successfully, and everything is working now. Re: [slim] Scanner error
Another point, even though MusicIP has 24,973 songs, the autoscanner in SqueezeCenter scans up to the 5000 point and then restarts. It repeats this process continuously with about a 2 minute pause between scans even though the MusicIP reload interval is 3600 (1 hour). -- dhuskey dhuskey's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2740 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=48046 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

[slim] Scanner error
I have recently begun getting a scanner error which does not seem to be related to the My SQL database access or virus scanner blocking. The scan fails complete in both full scan and rescan for changes modes. This is the log file of the error: [08-05-24 07:12:25.2517] main::main (211) Error: Failed when running main scan: [Can't call method "name" on an undefined value at /Slim/Schema.pm line 1863, chunk 4957. ] [08-05-24 07:12:25.2526] main::main (212) Error: Skipping post-process & Not updating lastRescanTime! Any suggestions? This is the 7.0.1 release using MusicIP. Re: [slim] Scanner Error Messages
I actually uninstalled my virus scanner while trying to troubleshoot this, so that wasn't the issue, but the problem resolved after I did this: 1. Open slimserver and browse the music folder. Click on a few of the albums and songs. Their details appear just like normal. 2. After you've done that, the database has just those albums in it (but without the album art, oddly). i.e., if you clicked through on two albums, the server will say that your library has two albums. 3. Then I restarted the server and had it scan the library for new and changed music. It picked up everything else in the folder. Still don't know what went wrong initially, though... -- Chuckles Chuckles's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12528 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37191 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Scanner Error Messages
I don't think the error message you see is the cause of the problem. Try the following. Make sure Slimserver is running. Then run the following command from the command prompt (assuming scanner.exe is in default directory) and replacing by your own music folder. The output should show files as they are scanned and hence any problem files.
