I had installed it > under 6.3, but I never got it to work, so I forgot about it. Obviously, it's now working, and it's pretty darned slick, too. Thanks! Evan, Are you sure you don't have my iTunes Update plugin installed? It would start iTunes after each song is played. James NOTICE: If received in error, please destroy and notify sender. [slim] Slimserver 6.5.2 boots up iTunes
I've just upgraded to SlimServer 6.5.2 from 6.3.1, and while I like most of the changes I've run across, I've got a weird thing going on that I can't find reference to in these forums - every time SlimServer moves to a new song, it boots up the copy of iTunes on the same machine. If I turn off SlimServer in the middle of a song, it won't boot up iTunes, but as soon as it moves to a new song, iTunes boots up in the background. Is there some way to stop this, or is this just something I have to live with? Details: OS: Mac OS X 10.4.8 iTunes v. 6.0.4 machine: MacPro 2.7 GHz PPC, 3GB RAM I'm having SlimServer use iTunes's library and playlists.
