Re: [slim] Solution or plugin for Squeezebox Boom ??
A friend of mine had a similar setup but with a USB dongle doing a radio link (NOT wifi) to his hifi. It worked quite well. Probably you could do the same thing with the 3.5mm jack on the boom. A bit backwards in some ways, but at least the sync won't be off. :) -- Aslak3 (SB 2, SB Boom, SB Radio) Aslak3's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=31977 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82514 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Re: [slim] Solution or plugin for Squeezebox Boom ??
WaveInput plugin very popular. This can be used if you have a local squeezeboxserver running , note that sound and vidoe sync might probably be off . For youtube nor so important but unusable for movies -- Mnyb Main hifi: Touch + CIA PS +MeridianG68J MeridianHD621 and assorted amps SiriuS, Classe' Primare and Dynadio speakers, Contour 4 Contour Center, and Contour 1.3SE for the rear ch. Re: [slim] Solution or plugin for Squeezebox Boom ??
There is also the simplest plugin: take a cable with 3.5mm male mini-plugs on each end (like the one that ships with the Boom), plug one end into the Boom's line in and plug the other end into the laptop's headphone out. You probably need to set the Boom's line in volume higher than the default 50%. This bypasses SBS completely and simply uses the Boom as some very nice powered speakers for your laptop. -- aubuti aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=82514 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
