Not necessarily. There are plenty of devices on the market which are not based on Windows CE and still decode WMA. The Ubicom chip inside SB2 is capable of doing just that.
 
I am not a big fun of MS solutions myself. However, there are many good stations on the net that stream in WMA. That's a fact. And SlimDevices road map clearly states that they plan to support as many formats as possible.

Funny guy, Josef.
WMA and real audio would require something like Windows CE
in the box. Which would not only miss your price points,
but would bring shame upon the good name of SlimDevices
for turning to the dark side.
