just my $0.02, it is sad that they have stopped offering the receiver. Not that it is my concern, but logitech may be presenting a barrier to first time purchases of the squeezebox system with the removal of the receiver. I even gave the Logitech rep a 'sob' story - said my elderly father needed these. I have no idea why that would have helped. The guy was very understanding and apologized. Just talked to phone sales, they are only selling this with the Duet. All I can say, is that when I bought my first Boom, I had some interesting discussions with the UK distributor: He said that Logitech batch produce product, and don't seem to have any clever scheduling. When they run out then they seem to schedule next batch. He said he is regularly out of stock for 4 to 6 weeks. So I could believe the US case. They have probably a whole batch of Touch ready to go. So probably reduced Duet schedule. I wouldn't yet read anything into stock levels. It is probably just usual practice, albeit slightly unusual. I may be wrong, but I don't think the receiver was a huge seller for Logitech. If it was, I think you'd see a lot more posts about it here.
