It says this when you are connected to SqueezeNetwork. I believe it
says "Free Your Music" when you are connected to SS/SC.

Another indication you're on SN. Since the SB can only connect to one
server at a time, the other will indicate it can't find it.

And another.

Is it possible that you are actually connected to Squeeze Network?
This could explain the different date format and why your local
SlimServer can't find the player.

[slim] Squeezebox probs after auto firmware upgrade??

2008-07-04 Thread mdzmura

Hi:

After a couple of totally trouble-free years with my Squeezebox, I have
some serious problems which all occurred at the same time.

I am running last-generation slimserver, version 6.5.4, and a single
3rd gen Squeezebox.

The first thing I noticed was that the AM/PM display on the clock
switched to lower case, and that the squeezebox now says "Rock your
World!" when I turn it on - as opposed to what it used to say...

I didn't recall any option for setting the AM/PM, and I certainly
didn't change it, so at that point I ASSUMED that an automatic firmware
upgrade had happened overnight, and some developer had changed the clock
on a whim. Then I noticed the SERIOUS consequences:

1. The squeezebox does not respond to the SEARCH button on my old-style
remote. (All the other buttons have their expected response).
2. The Web UI reports that "Your player was not found". This is with
the squeezebox turned on and reporting the correct time.
3. I had to re-sign up for Squeeze Network
4. My favorites are gone.

Note that I have not even TOUCHED the machine the slimserver is running
on.

There are some others, but right now it is pretty much a brick because
the SEARCH button doesn't work and the slimserver doesn't find a
player...

Stopping / Restarting the slimserver service does not fix the problem.

Was there an auto firmware upgrade? Do I need to downgrade? Is
anybody else having similar problems?

Thanks,
Mark
