Well I received my Transporter on Friday after contacting at least half a dozen suppliers before finding one with a Black one in stock. The news came from the UK distributor at the Heathrow hi-fi show last weekend. Given how the exchange rate has gone, it would be completely unreasonable, but look at the PS3 - it costs more in the UK than Europe, and more in Ireland than mainland Europe, even though it's the same currency! You could buy from Slim direct and pay the VAT and duty and it's about the same as £1,300, the current UK retail (actually a little less), so at £1,700 there would be no incentive to buy in the UK at all. Hi I've been thinking about getting a Transporter for a while now. I've just heard a rumour that prices in the UK will be going up soon, to around 1700 UKP. Does anyone know anything about this?
