Sorry, but Bluetooth is NOT a lossy transport medium. [slim] UE Boombox
I hadn't seen reference to this here -- and it may not belong here -- but BB is advertising the UE Boombox (a bluetooth wireless speaker/amp) to stream music from smartphone or tablet. Can this work with LMS? Is there a software app for it? BTW, the cost is $250 -- looks to be getting into Sonos territory?? Can we use something like iPeng to feed this device? chenrikson's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22407 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97116 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] UE Boombox
While the device is naff all to do with Squeezebox in theory any blue tooth speaker could work with a device that can play from LMS and has BT audio. iThings can get play with an additional purchase in app using ipeng and Android users can purchase squeezeplay from the market and use any available control app (OrangeSqueeze and Squeeze Commander being my favourites) I can't vouch for audio quality with Bluetooth mind but for a boom box type device it should be acceptable I guess.
