However, when I set it to 48000 and with my USB sound device plugged in
... it did not boot reliably.
Not 100% certain that they were related but the setting that was added
into the BBC Sounds plugin, as mentioned above, proved to be a great
solution.

One can change the asound.conf to 48000

Mr Webster posted about, either here or elsewhere.

I can't remember the path, have a look under /etc

IIRC Joggler don't support 48Khz which is used on the main BBC streams.
Have you tried the "hide the audio sample rate" settings in BBC SOund
settings.

[slim] Unsupported sample-rate (Squeezeplay on Ubuntu 18.04)

2020-12-21 Thread Gingermagic

Hi,

I've installed Squeezeplay on Ubuntu 18.04

My music is playing OK, but when I go into BBC Sounds Radio, I get,
"Unsupported sample-rate"

32616

All of my 'non-joggler' Squeeze Devices are playing the BBC Sounds radio
fine, and I'm sure that I had the Joggler playing Radio too, when it had
OpenPeak as the OS (rather than Ubuntu).

Any idea what's going on?

Thanks,
Damian
