ok so the problem was that I had a small speaker connected to one of the
4 USB port..drawing enough power to not being able to light on the USB
thumb..
Like I said why don't I see the light of the USB drive
After removing it, it was fine

so now I have mounted it, added something on the music folder I created,
but I cannot see the song in LMS player nor in squeezer...

23357

I did reboot everything
what's wrong with me
where should that music be in LMS anyway?

It's advisable to not fill the disk over a certain amount, you will have
to check this.

When your testing, just try one or two files to prove the concept and
then add the others.

If you have problems, the either get a bigger stick or use a small usb
drive.

You see this is the Fench for exasperated.

You'll get your jousting stick up the arras if you keep on like this.

On the pcp web pages,in each section, click on the word "more" this
expands with helpfull information, read it and then try to follow the
instruction.

Formatt the usb stick.

transfer just one file.

plug it into the pi

reboot the pi and go to the LMS page and then follow the instruction to
mount the stick, make sure you click the correct boxes and do the
restarts

A few hours ago, I set up a Pi with the image that Man in a van gave you

me.

I mounted a NFTS formatted USB thumb drive/stick with a few albums on

What sort of USB drive?
A Pi can easily power a thumb drive but a full drive often requires a
powered USB hub.
