It's advisable to not fill the disk over a certain amount, you will have to check this. When your testing, just try one or two files to prove the concept and then add the others. If you have problems, the either get a bigger stick or use a small usb drive. I don't think just attaching a USB drive works, you need to reboot your pi, did you reboot. A few hours ago, I set up a Pi with the image that Man in a van gave you a link to, (you said you couldn't get it to work), it worked fine for me. What sort of USB drive? [slim] mounting USB
