Re: [slim] How to stream sound from a Samsung TV to Squeezebox?
Can't do that, nor would you want to for video. Your Samsung TV cannot act as the server for anything, including SqueezeBox players. Your TV can connect to LMS server as a simple DLNA player for music, pics, video's on your TV. toby10's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12553 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97211 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] How to stream sound from a Samsung TV to Squeezebox?
If your TV is close enough to the PC you have running LMS, you might try running an audio cable between them and using the 'WaveInput plugin' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?35718-Announce-Wave-Input-plugin-v1-00highlight=waveinput+plugin). Whatever audio is on the TV will now be available to all connected SB devices though it may be a bit delayed. If you want to hear the TV audio through your stereo, just run a cable from the TV audio out to an AUX input on your stereo. If too far to run a cable, there are 'wireless solutions' (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0U008N4223nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKPcm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-_-pla-_-NA-_-NA) which may have similar latency issues.
