Try to remove the quarantine bit from the binary:

sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Squeezelite.app

You then should be able to run the program:

/Applications/Squeezelite.app/Contents/MacOS/Squeezelite -h

That's macOS telling you that those files haven't been signed. It 
considers any unsigned application dangerous. If you right click it you 
should be able to launch it after getting a warning.


No success for what reason ever :-(. I was not able to get anny 
Squeezelite version for M1 Macs executed on the new M1 machine :-(. 
However, I've moved my old Squeezelite version from my Intel based mac 
over to the new M1 Mac, this version is working now after I've installed 
Rosetta and that is also fine for me.

I don't know if it is the same procedure for the Arm based OS

And, again on the Intel chipped OS, it is possible to utilise the Local
Player Plugin (one has to update the Squeezelite binary)
