Re: [slim] MusicIP Usage
Has MusicIP completely gone through the process of analysing your tracks? (This process can take days depending on your library size and gruntiness of your PC.) You can also select parameters regarding how similar to the original track you want the playlist to be. I've found that tweaking these can make a big difference in the resulting ecclectiness of the playlist as well. -- ob_kook SB2 -- Axiom passive pre -- Portal Paladin monoblocks -- Dynaudio Contour 1.3 MKII ob_kook's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1383 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40558 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] MusicIP Usage
Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, the track analysis shows 0 on the MusicMagic API, it took about two days to go through the all the songs. I'm not sure what some of the settings actually change so I'll do some searching. Changing How much like the artist style from 0 to 100 gave me a better mix but still strange selections. Also, if I click on it with the same track, it gives different playlists when I would expect the selections to be the same. Those strange selections are one of the reasons I like it. :) Since it does not consider tags, genres or the like, it is based purely on the audio fingerprint. But if it is too all over the place, I'd still suggest dialing it in a bit. Too bad it is not like Pandora in its adaptive learning capability... mgerbasio;245213 Wrote: Also, if I click on it with the same track, it gives different playlists when I would expect the selections to be the same. I find the same behavior. Sometimes I will re-click until I get what seems to be more the mix I'm after. -- ob_kook SB2 -- Axiom passive pre -- Portal Paladin monoblocks -- Dynaudio Contour 1.3 MKII ob_kook's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1383 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=40558 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/discuss
