Re: [slim] Re: Case sensitivity in 6.0.1

The B. B. King-quirk seems to have something to do with composer tags.
All my songs from BB are correctly tagged as "B. B. King" as artist
and since I'm using iTunes to organize my music, the spaces are in the
folder names too.

I do have some other songs which he wrote, and there he appears as
"B.B. King" in the composer tag. Although I don't have "Include
Composer/Band" checked, this seems to confuse the slimserver. I'll
have to investigate further into this ...

Do you have that space in the file / folder name(s) also? It seems to
me that SS sometimes prefers those over tags ...

Even better... a switch to allow or disallow consolidation.

I'm with you, Christian, I rather like to consolidate my tags than
having slimserver hiding the differences from me.

Please keep as much as possible case sensitive. I like to know when I
have two different spellings in tags so I can correct them.

Gavin - right now it's expected behavior - we aren't case folding genres.

If enough people think they should be collapsed, that's possible.
