Try a PIII, 500Mhz with 128MB! That's the only spare I've got!! I run mine on a P4, 1.8 with only 512 MB RAM. The other serious computers in the house all have a use, and I run a dedicated server. I'll upgrade one day. For Podcats and WMA stream - FFWD and REW work., For RealAudio, a beta of AlienBBC 2.01 for 7.1 is nearly ready. There will be an announcement. Thanks for raising. I too have been putting off upgrading to SC7.x. Quite seriously, SlimServer is THE most important system I run - my music is the most important part of my life. If I lost my banking, internet access, word processing ability, et. al., I'd survive, but if I lost my music I'd be in a fit! If everything is OK and you are happy then don't change. Reasons in the future for using 7.x 1. You buy a Duet or an SBC. 2. If you ever like to synchronize multiple SBs *and* you have been having any problems with sync in 6.5, you should know that sync is much improved in 7.x.
