I listen to the Squeezes nonstop. When watching athletic events, I mute the TV and listen to music. The Squeezebox ecosystem is part of my life. I will not be a happy camper if it should ever go away. I don't think it will ever go away. LOGITECH wouldn't do that. I was just told service would be back up in a couple of hours. I asked if they were confident in this prediction and they said yes for sure. We'll see. I also asked why Squeezebox owners were not notified that the service issues were at the Logitech end of things. The answer was that they had no way to do this. Yeah right, I didn't pursue this any further. cubdog cubdog's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=50702 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97633 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss

Mine is down as well. Yesterday and now again today. I just spoke with CS and they told me to give it a couple more hours and if I still have no service to call them back. It kind of pisses me off that they can't see fit to send an email out letting us know that the problem is on their end. I've been trying everything, wasting my time, and getting frustrated over something I have no control over. Re: [slim] squeeze server down? anyone else?
A where back in the bad old days ,was a time around the duet release where was like this as soon as the capacity where strained with many listeners on such a holiday like xmas down it went . Should we expect this this whenever many listeners want to use it the same time :-/ They must have skimped on resources for mysb.com maybe moving them to UE are not users migrating in the expected rates . I don't think you can aggregate listeners and assume that only a part of the user base are logged on , you must dimension the system so that every listener can use to it's full extent at the same time . Re: [slim] squeeze server down? anyone else?
What was scary since mines was out for 3 hours. The icons (Facebook, Flickr) were still there but it just kept on giving error connection message so I really thought my SqueezeRadio's circuit board died. I even took out the batteries to give it a hard reset. I saw nothing on this board and only remember another outage occurring a year ago but that had a post. Anyhow it was really scary the dead silence in the room and how hard it was switching radio stations even on TuneIn via smart phone. chipmalee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39278 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97633 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
Re: [slim] squeeze server down? anyone else?
Yep happened to me too Tried everything but a full reset. Then I left it powered off and went into my bedroom to try my other radio and all worked fine. Of course then I thought, oh great my main one died. Lo and behold when I turned it back on white symbol was there and all is well. Just a preview I guess of things to come when the squeezebox server goes bye bye and we all have to update to the UE version. If they offered Iheart Radio I would have updated one of my radios already. bitstopjoe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=45024 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97633 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
