[discuss] Slow formatting of Reportsin OOo Base.
Hello to all, I am experiencing that OOo Base reports takes long time to format the pages for previewing. Why? Is there any solution to this? I am connecting to ODBC datasources(normally MySQL). Please help. Thanks. CPK
[discuss] About Grouping Levels
I have a problem regarding OOo Base. There is a limitation to number of grouping levels (currently it is 4) in Base reports. How to solve this problem. I also want to suggest that Base Reporting tool can be very useful when it will be enterprize level reporting tool. Points to considered for this are - 1) No. of grouping levels, 2) Page formatting time before printing/in print preview. Takes too more time than MS Access. 3) We can do programming in MS Access. Can we do in OOo Base?, 4) There are many books and in built reference for VBA in MS Office? Is it available (syntax, Codes, samples etc.) for OOo ? 5) What ar the limitations of OOo Base. (e.g. No. of pages- MS Access will have 32,500 pages approx. It also good formatting speed., No of tables, No. of view/Queries etc.) Thanks for intiative to make OOo as a full alternative to MS Office. CPK
[discuss] Form Wizard in Base crashes the Application
Related with Base - I am using OOo fo more than 1 year. In OOo version 2.0.1 on Xp Prof. SP 2, while using form wizard(when I select subform option and Master form view as Columner and Slave form view as Datasheet) the whole application gets crashed. Why? Please help. I am using Mysql as Database for the above through ODBC. Thanks, CPK

Dear friends, I want to use Base as frontend for Database Applications. But there are few problems- 1) I can't find how to customize grouping and ordering level for Base Reports. 2) Many times Base on Windows XP SP 2 crashes while editing form/report? why? 3) Is it possible or new feature to be implemeted to use Open Source scripting Language for programming behind forms and reports. I think it will be very useful to add support for laguages such as Python, Perl, Ruby etc. as an add on feature. Thanks and regards, CPK
