No it doesn't.

There was a lot of discussion about grammer checkers about a year or
more ago. One of the most mentioned things was how bad most current
grammer checkers actually are, especially the one in MS Word.
Gramatick, (not sure of the spelling) a grammer checker that came
bundled with Wordstar was actually better, in any case there was as much
sentiment against grammer checkers as for them.

I should mention that much of the most important functions of a grammer
checker can be handled by Writer's AutoCorrect function. This is
available through the Tools menu. You can set it up to automatically do
many things like always capitalize the first word of a sentence, always
capitalize any letter i when it is by itself, and many more things. For
my use I find that I can get about everything I need in grammer checking
through programming AutoCorrect.

Available as an add on utility.

OR should I say Add on utilities .

There are roughly ten grammar checkers, which provide grammar checking
for roughly fifteen different languages.

However, the quality of that grammar checking range is almost able to
validate first person singular nominative present pluperfect
subjunctive active voice. OTOH, that is about the quality of
Microsoft's grammar checking.

Which is a round about way of saying that if you want a grammar
checker in English, you are better off using _The King's English ---
for British English, or _The elements of Style _ for American English,
The Lumko Institute Work book for IsiXhosa, and the equivalents in
other languages.

For a list of which grammar checker works for which languages, hunt
thru OOoForums.
There is a slightly different list on the OOo website. However, the
last time I looked at it, it omitted at least five grammar checkers
for OOo including the commercial ones.
