Hello Jan,

Please don't thake the "feature vs bug" thing personally. These terms 
have very specific meanings and they don't imply that your request is 
not important. A "bug" means that existing code does not behave the way 
the specification says it should. A "feature" means that new should be 
written and then new code to match. These are just technical terms.


In any event, I just looked around IZ. Are you referring to issue 366?

I'll add myself to the CC line of this issue and follow it. No, this 
doesn't mean it'll happy tomorrow. Unfortunately, I'm not a good enough 
programmer for this.

Can you provide a more comprehensive explanation of what you want?
And maybe put up a webpge that shows a couple of examples of it.

A feature that is missing on the spreadsheet that is a big impediment to 
use in the scientific community is the lack of an ability to select a 
range of cells to be used for error bars when graphing results.


I would consider this a bug, but it is considered a feature by the Calc 
folks.


What about including it as a project in the summer of code?

I am not a programmer, so I am not much help.
